- Grant Aid to Local Charities - (subject to our grant-making priorities and the availability of funds)
The Clerk to the Parish Council will be happy to advise on the provider of any other public or local services.

Street Lights
We use LED bulbs in our street lights - this reduces electricity usage and helps to make Bacton a more environmentally friendly village. This map shows which street lights are operated by the Parish Council - please report any faults on these to the Clerk.
Other streetlights in the Parish are owned and maintained by Suffolk County Council, please report any faults on these by using this link.
Cemetery
The Cemetery provides for traditional burials and has graves dating from 1934 onwards. The Parish Council is the Burial Authority for the Cemetery and the Clerk maintains and holds the registers of burials.
The Cemetery Regulations and Conditions govern the use of the cemetery and provide helpful information and can be found via the drop down menu; you can also see the current Cemetery Fees there .
The Cemetery is located behind St Mary's Church, Rectory Road, Bacton.

Community Speed Watch
The road safety working party include a number of volunteers willing to carry out Community Speed Watch. COVID 19 then became reality and the subsequent lockdown meant all training by the police was suspended.
We are however now pleased to confirm training with the police will resume from 29th March 2021; we are awaiting confirmation of the date for our training.

Village Hall
Bacton Village Hall is owned and operated by a separate body, the Village Hall Committee, which is a registered charity in its own right.
The Hall, which is is situated in Church Road, opposite to St. Mary's Church, can seat up to 100 people and there is a modern kitchen as well as a small stage. Tables, chairs, crockery and cutlery are all available and there is car parking for up to 15 cars, including as designated space for use by people with diabilities.
