Following the announcement of the NPPF on 17 August 2026 the draft Neighbourhood Plan has been halted.

A consultation document will be delivered to every household and business in Bacton w/c 21 September with a number of 'open door' drop in events taking place to help answer any questions.

There will be a summary document detailing in brief the reason for the consultation and a more detailed consultation document.

August 2026

The Government announced a new National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) on 17 August 2026, which changes the way future housing needs must be planned for.

Until now, there was no requirement for us to identify and allocate sites for future housing, which is why no sites were previously allocated.

The Parish COuncil have therefore decided to halt te Draft Plan pending further consideration to the new framework.

Bacton Neighbourhood Plan Latest Consultation Document

Every household will receive a physical copy of this week commencing 14 September 2025 ;  if you could complete and return it as per the instructions on page 4 that would be great as this will help shape the future of leisure in the Parish.
